Introducing a few more of my staples from this summer:
lipstick, graphic tees, these sunglasses, and my new purse!

As I mentioned before, there is something so satisfying about an outfit that is perfectly juxtaposed.
This sweet skirt paired with a heavy metal tee is drastic and I'm digging it.
(I should mention this shirt is a complete staple in Shelby's closet, thanks Shel).
Especially compared to my last jaunt in this skirt, woah, I like this way better.

I wasn't completely sold on lipstick this dark in the dog days of summer,
yet it grew on me and I got several compliments on it at work!
Not from Hunter, he maintains "You have a very nice natural lip color."

I found these booties for <$10 at Old Navy during some off season and thought, "Why not?"
I can already tell they will probably become my favorite shoes for fall.
Booties are especially awesome because they add some variance to your summer shoe wardrobe!

And finally, my new purse! Debuting item #2 from my big giveaway win via Room 334.
I wasn't quite sure what to do with myself with credit to Sloppy Jo's Sloppy Seconds,
i.e. there were almost TOO many cool finds and I wasn't sure what would fit, etc.
I'm always down for a new purse that I can fit a lot of stuff in,
and while I mistakenly measured that my laptop would fit in this, it doesn't.
However, I haven't stopped using it since it arrive in the mail!
I love the "doctor bag" feel of it, and am pleased to say it fits my journal, planner, snacks, etc.
Thanks Sloppy Joe's and thanks Elana from Room 334!

I'm off to do a little...ahem...exploring since it's Tax Free Weekend (TN love, y'all!)
and then take off on an impromptu trip to Memphis with some of my best girls!
Wishing you all a very fabulous weekend I will check in with you soon!

ha it's not that I don't WANT to go! My parents went last year for their anniversary and allegedly a family trip is going to happen eventually...I know I'm hardly even a real Californian until I visit Hawaii!

So I totally read this one (and retweeted Jo about it!), but never commented. I. LOVE. THIS. Seriously, you make me want to go out and buy rocker tees now, this looks so ridiculously cute. The bag you picked out is adorable too! You couldn't have styled it better. Also, these boots. Love, love, love.

Oh, and one more thing, the middle part looks amazing on you! Okay, done rambling now.
